The Role:
Stakeholder Management: Liaise, align & manage partners & contractual 3rd parties; Implementation of the engagement plans for all stakeholders within Area; ensure JV positions are well represented within company when defining plans; identify and communicate learning from Areas to create and protect company value; maintain critical relationships with key stakeholders Agreement Management Implement Client JV management and agreement management standards and practices; ensure licenses remain in full force and effect; manage all JV activities within Area in line with contractual obligations; as owner, protect the value of Company’s assets; as operator, discharge Company’s fiduciary duties; value protection through enforcement of accurate / timely costs recovery processes. Discharge responsibilities of BTC Co CFO and SCPC Alternate Director in accordance with advice from Client Legal. Investment Governance Ensure robust and consistent investment governance process applied for all investments; ensure robust economic evaluation of all investments & other decisions within the Area Optimisation and Risk Ensure risk management plans exist and mitigation actions managed for Area; understand financial & economic contribution of Area to company’s bottom line (RCOP & FCF); identify and deliver value options through commercial optimization of assets; monitor the nearby competitive landscape for value threats / opportunities; understand the Marketing Area and liaise with IST to optimise liftings; ensure compliance with client’s code of conduct, ABC/AML standards as well as local laws Leadership, skills and capability Coach and develop commercial capability; manage team within HR policies and standards.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Finance/Business Administration or Degree in Engineering with MBA
15+ years upstream or midstream experience in a mixture of economic evaluation/planning, investment governance processes, JV management and agreement negotiation with around 10years of that experience in a mixture of JV management and agreement negotiation. Behaviours consistent with a significant SLL role – ability to motivate team, identify and prioritise the most critical issues, manage risk and create value, drive a high level and standard of delivery, and set a positive example for the team by demonstrating alignment with and support for the standards and expectations of the Commercial Operations sub-function within Finance
