The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source an Area Operations Superintendent to work at site as part of the Operations Leadership team.

• Permanent staff position
• FIFO to Chinchilla on a 19/9 roster
• Work directly for the CSG project owner

The Area Operations Superintendent will ensure that the company business plan is met through safe and efficient operations. The exact size of the role will vary depending on location, planned manpower, gas throughput and anticipated wellcount. You will report to the Field Operations Manager and there will be various direct and indirect reports.

Typically, the incumbent will approve all technical and personnel changes on site to improve work scope integration and best practice operations. You will also ensure effective management of processes on site and liaise effectively with internal / external stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:
• Set targets, direction and enable implementation for all Area Operations
• Establish an agreed work programme, whilst liaising with the Brisbane office from site
• Evaluate implications of actions on profitability, costs and values
• Accountable for budgets and assigned funds associated with production and budgets
• Approves all technical and personnel changes on site

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent years experience
• Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and Australia standards of Operations
• Skilled in developing policies, operating procedures and plans / schedules
• Capable in emergency command and control situations
• Demonstrated experience in managing, coaching and developing staff

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working on major LNG projects in Australia
