The Role:
Key Job Responsibilities
This position (Area Quality Manager) shall report to Site snr Quality manager and be the central point of contact for the area construction managers in all quality related matters associated with fabrication, installation and completion defined within the area Gas Turbine Generators (GTGs) and the utilities area, Primary responsibilities as follows:

Specific Duties:
- Manage / Coordinate QC area team through surveillance and inspection activities to provide verification that material, equipment, fabrication, installation are compliant with approved specifications, contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Interface with the Area Construction Managers for day to day activities and plans going forward;
- Maintain communication at all times with the Quality Manager and provide regular feedback on quality performance within the assigned area;
- Manage daily quality inspection activities for the assigned area;
- Manage final inspection requirements and completion of ITRs for input into Zenator
- Review quality documents as required;
- Collect and collate reporting by QC inspectors, providing daily progress status and incidental reporting as may be required by the Quality Manager;
- Attend and participate in all necessary meetings.;
- Proactively assist and provide support to Construction in the clarification / resolution of quality related issues or queries.

General Duties:
- Comply with all applicable safety instructions and procedures at all times;
- Ensure effective implementation of project procedures by the Contractor and in accordance with the Contractor’s Project Quality Plan;
- Ensure that in all matters due diligence is observed at all times and the appropriate initiatives taken to secure the required results;
- Ensure that all information, both written and spoken, obtained in the course of the work is handled with confidentiality;
- Ensure that the work is carried out in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable contracts, Company policies and relevant laws and regulations;
- Provide team leadership to other project QC personnel responsible for implementation of the quality requirements;

Promote safety awareness (Incident Injury Free) and safe performance example at site, fabrication yards, subcontractors and vendor shops participation in IIF. Completes safety observations monthly and as required (TSTO)
- The Area Quality Manager will be required to conduct all work related activities in such a manner that the health and safety of all persons on the work site is his prime concern;
- All personnel shall be mindful of the condition and protection of the environment at all times;
- All personnel are empowered to stop the work and highlight any safety or environmental deficiencies of any kind which may occur in the execution of the work by contractors, subcontractors or vendors;
- All incidents shall be reported to the Site Quality Manager without delay.

General Comments:
Proactive approach to resolving quality issues.
 Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel.
 Formal safety training.
 Effective communication and reporting skills.
 Previous experience of working on LNG projects.
 Candidate shall display confidence in representing the Client when interfacing with Contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications:
 Previous 10 years of experience on major Oil & Gas EPCM construction projects.
 Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on Oil & Gas related construction Projects.
 Proactive approach to resolving Quality issues during assembly of package supplied equipment.
Confidence in executing routine surveillance inspections around structural, mechanical, static, rotating equipment including piping.
 Previous experience with installation of large Gas Turbine Generators (GTG’s), Compressors and the Utilities area
