The Company:
Our client is looking for Area Sales Manager, Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia with job location in Eastern Europe or continental Europe.

To serve and manage the assigned customer portfolio through the promotion of the assigned products, according to the customers’ requirements.
To grow and develop the markets for the assigned products in the assigned territories by prospecting for new accounts and/or applications.
To gather, analyse and report on market intelligence and developments.

The Role:
•Promotes the marketing of assigned products in the assigned area by personal visits, correspondence and telephone, as well as through agents and distributors.
•Attends to customers’ enquiries, complaints and feedback, seeing to the satisfactory resolution of all customers’ issues.
•Travels to customers’ offices and bases throughout Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia and occasionally visits field locations.
•Provides both technical and business assistance to customers, potential customers, as well as agents and distributors and whenever necessary refers requests for unavailable technical and business information to the appropriate groups within the company. Provide field service expertise when needed.
•Prepares short and long range forecast of sales of assigned products, for use in sales marketing / management or sales / marketing plans.
•Advises management on key strategies to develop business within the assigned territory and of new trends, opportunities and threats and makes recommendations on how to deal with each.
•Submits recommendations and opinions to supervisor regarding such matters as prices, advertising, sales efforts, business and technical services and area marketing operations.
•Summarizes and analyses data and information and recommends course of action to use to maintain and improve company’s sales position.
•Provides technical services to customers and users of the products, working with them to solve product-related problems to their satisfaction. Whenever necessary organizes training courses for customers for the use and safe handling of the Company’s products.
•Reports product non-conformances and customer complaints to immediate superior for corrective action.
•Gathers information about competitor products and manufacturers within the territory.
•Understands and complies with the company’s safety and operational excellence policies, procedures, rules and regulations, sets personal objectives in line with those of the company.
•Assists in identifying and negotiating office space rental when and if appropriate.
•Monitors regional requirements for product certification and recommends action plans to ensure compliance

KEY FACTORS:

Incumbent’s assigned territories include the onshore and offshore oilfields and gas fields of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Products assigned to incumbent are those of the Drilling Specialties Company.

OPERATING CONTEXT, CONTACTS AND DECISION MAKING

•Limits of authorities: Authorizes quotations of assigned products to customers within pre-determined prices authority. Authorizes quantities of products to be given as free sample to customers and potential customers within pre-determined guidelines. Receives from customers complaints an quality, packaging, shipping and recommends the appropriate corrective action.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications: A basic degree holder in petroleum engineering, physical or earth sciences or other related disciplines.
Experience:Required minimal of 4-5 years technical field and marketing experience in the drilling Fluids industry.
Must be familiar with Drilling Fluids applications, products and the regional industry.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Office location: will depend on the candidate and his basic country.
Salary and social package will be discussable for candidates individually.
