The Role:
The Area Scheduler reports to the lead area scheduler and is responsible for the integration and review of function plans at an area level in the 12 to 6 week window.

The Area Scheduler manages the 12 week CAP plan ensuring it is sufficiently resourced, activities meet the relevant gate criteria, and the plan has been reviewed for SIMOPS and is deliverable within platform POB constraints.

The Area Scheduler manages logistical constraints ensuring the agreed POB plan is aligned with the ATS and assess the inclusion of emergent work, trying to minimise its impact on the agreed plan.

The Area Scheduler also acts as the functional planner for activities managed by the ACE team, being responsible for entering detailed planning information, scheduling and following the normal planning rules that apply to the functions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive value through integration of Area 12 week schedule.
• Ensure that the Area 12 week schedule is fully populated with all CAP activities and is deliverable within Area and site
• Ensure that sufficient buffers between activities and allowances for emergent work are built into the Area 12 week schedule.
• Ensure that all activities meet the required 6 and 12 week gate readiness criteria.
• Ensure that all Area 12 week scheduling processes are consistent with the SPU Activity Planning Reference Manual and North
Sea appendices.
• Accountable for resource levelling all activities in the 6-12 week timeframe.
• Support the 12 week Gatekeeper (AESTL) in assessing 12 week waivers.
• Chair at Area 12 week Scheduling meeting.
• Identify functional activities that risk delivery of the Area 12 week schedule.
• Identify and drive resolution of cross-functional conflicts and manage the inclusion of approved emergent work into the Area 12
week schedule.
• Communicate the agreed 12 week schedule to all functions.
• Act as functional planner for Area Engineering Support (ACE) team.
• Accountable for building detailed plans in Primavera to support the delivery of the work allocated to the Area’s Engineering
support team.
• Facilitate at the Area’s Engineering support team 12 week plan review meeting.
• Ensure all planning is consistent with the SPU Activity Planning Reference Manual.
• Drive site execution efficiency.
• Review Area Planning KPI-1 perf. w/ Site Scheduler; propose improvement actions.
• Drive Area Planning KPI-2 performance.
• Ensure that Site Schedulers are progressing activities.
• Drive improvements in Area/site scheduling performance to close gaps.
• First point of contact for Site Scheduler to address issues relating to planning, scheduling and tools.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
• Data analysis / report generation experience.
• Good Presentation and facilitation skills.
• Working knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities concurrently.
• Being able to promote open and effective communication.
• Displays initiative and problem solving skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Operations experience.
• Primavera experience.
