The Company:
Our client is a major oil and gas client located in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
Core responsibilities include implementation and use of ARIES program, working closely with our JV partners to ensure that we understand the databases, running the programs for new economic evaluations, business planning, reserves booking purposes, training Company staff in ARIES/PEEP and supervise any new hires on running these programs.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare Economic Analysis for Lower48 Assets using ARIES and EXCEL, present insights to Asset Management and to Joint Venture partners.
• Provide expert and rigorous knowledge of ARIES to the team and beyond. Train other employees as necessary in the system, act a local “super-user”.
• Undertake the Business Planning, Opportunity Screening, PRI, Reserves Reporting and other corporate processes
• Decide how each piece of analysis should be delivered and should seek linkages between different assets.
• Undertake well performance analysis using ARIES
• Work closely with Land, technical and Finance departments to test the robustness of ARIES data

Key Experiences:
• Degree in a numerate discipline or equivalent
• Understanding of technical aspects of E&P, particularly shale plays preferred
• Experience in building, maintaining and using complex ARIES models is critical and essential. Additionally, experience in training others in this model is highly desirable
• Experience of the Reserve Reporting process
• Experience of upstream activities in Texas, Louisiana and Pennsylvania fiscal/tax regimes
• Demonstrable experience of making more risky and complex decisions with confidence and assurance.
