The Company:
A long established oil & gas operator

The Role:
Deliver the development project, from “opportunity framing” into the “production” phase and handover to the Asset Manager one year into production.
Ensure optimization of the development project value throughout the duration of the development
Ensure the Field’s Development Plan is clearly outlined and communicated to all stakeholders
High-quality, safe, “on-budget” and “in-time” performance of functional duties
Pays particular attention to the efficiency of any “external” resources & services provided through a matrix type organisation
Oversee selection and training of employees to meet development project milestones
Oversee planning and updating of long term production capacity, capital investments & long term drilling
Ensure safety of entrusted company’s assets and documentation in accordance with federal and local laws and company’s rules
Ensure confidentiality of information in accordance with company’s requirements
Ensure auditing of business process, compliance with company & government standards and regulations
Directly supervises Division Heads for Subsurface, well delivery, facilities engineering
Indirectly supervises outside product and service providers thru the relevant department heads & project managers, project services, operations readiness & approvals
Indirectly supervises functional matrix staff outside his direct organisation thru the relevant department heads or discipline heads

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University degree in relevant discipline (Petroleum Engineering, Technical studies etc)
Should have extensive experience in broad oil field operations/engineering assignments and proven skills in a supervisory / management role
Proven ability to interact with people, clear fluent expressive use of verbal and written language to convey information and ideas
Excellent management and communication skills, proactive approach to problem solving
Full understanding of economics and management techniques
Should have solid working experience in an integrated teamwork environment, working in one or more of the following areas: reservoir engineering, production operations, production technology, well engineering and facilities/project engineering

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to speak Arabic
