The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source an Asset Development Manager - Water to liaise between the company and external organisations, including water off-takers and local industrial or mining companies requiring water.

The Asset Development Manager - Water will develop opportunities requiring technical or commercial negotiation for the removal of water from Water Treatment Plants and Ponds.

Typically, you will also liaise with government authorities to ensure regulatory compliance, to identify and develop the implementation of these standards. Further communication with Operations Teams will be required to ensure performance standards are developed. In addition, the successful individual will organise cost allocation and revenue sharing.

Responsibilities:
• Identify, develop and negotiate suitable arrangements with prospective third party water off-takers to ensure coal seam gas water is properly removed
• Provide advice and status reports to the government agencies including interpretation of the relevant water acts or regulations enforced by local, state and federal government
• Development and implementation of the company technical standards procedure and policy

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary educated to degree level, or equivalent years experience
• Able to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate successfully
• Good understanding of relevant technologies, policies and business principles
• Experience of water compliance with regulations, licences and permits compliance of oil and gas projects

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working on Coal Seam Gas or Coal Bed Methane projects
• Experience working on LNG projects in Australia
