Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
The Role:
As a Specialist Materials Consultant within the Integrity Management (IM) team you will be primarily be responsible for:
Providing advice on materials performance to members of the company solution groups
Carrying out studies on process plant and equipment, to assess deterioration and remaining life
Supporting Risk Based Inspection and Asset Studies, by advising on materials and deterioration mechanisms
Conduct failure investigations on process equipment for clients
Identify Materials of Construction for a range of process duties

• The provision, quality and timely delivery of all work based on clients agreed requirements and targets.
• Taking a pro-active role in developing and securing new business. This will involve liaison with members of the Business Development team hubs regarding new prospects; providing information for potential clients; writing proposals and estimating the costs and resources required to deliver work.
• Supporting marketing activities within the team to support the growth of the business.
• Providing input to the development of new products within the IM team.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a Materials Discipline
• Currently chartered membership or working towards this.
• An excellent safety record.
• Experience in a technical engineering or consultancy position, ideally in an operations, integrity management, maintenance or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of onshore chemical process industries, including refining or petrochemical and an understanding of the key deterioration mechanisms. An appreciation of the offshore oil & gas sector would be a distinct advantage
• Able to work and communicate effectively at all levels within a client’s organisation.
• Experience of improvement/change projects, which focus on equipment integrity/engineering reliability/legislative compliance/maintenance practices.
• Ability to work both on a ‘stand-alone’ basis or as a member of a multi-discipline team.
• A working knowledge of the UK onshore and offshore regulatory environment and its impact upon cost effective and safe produc
