The Company:
SADARA is a Multinational Chemical company which is constructing and operating a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. This will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Perform full range of activities related to mechanical, materials, inspection & corrosion engineering to improve integrity of Process Containment Equipment (PCE), piping and fixed assets in general. Work includes evaluation of inspection & corrosion data, investigation of failures and devising engineered solutions to proactively improve process plant equipment and critical systems integrity. It also includes activities to develop and implement methodologies to ensure compliance with Sadara’s engineering specifications, safety, quality and reliability requirements in alignment with applicable industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
1. Works with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering (OME) Teams and acts as a focal point to provide day –to-day technical integrity and engineering support for Process Containment Equipment (PCE) and piping integrity for safe and reliable operations.
2. Proactively performs or lead evaluations of inspection reports & metallurgical results and corrosion data to provide short and long term solutions for continuous improvement of asset integrity and reliability through adopting sound engineering judgement, experience and best practices.
3. Interfaces and coordinates with speciality (discipline) engineering , reliability, maintenance, operations and safety to conduct technical integrity assessments and failure analysis to resolve complex or chronic issues related to PCE and piping integrity and corrosion.
4. Conducts or leads Fitness-For-Service (FFS) studies.
5. Uses effective tools to conduct RCA, failure analysis and assessments on Process Containment Equipment (PCE) and piping to continually improve mechanical integrity and reliability.
6. Adopts proven methodologies to assess or lead assessments of systems and programs to assure and sustain technical integrity of fixed assets.
7. Provides mechanical integrity and inspection expertise in support of PCE and piping repair, restoration & modification and in support of engineering & EHS studies, design reviews, projects quality and incident investigations.
8. Leads or participates in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) assessments, coordinates facilitation of required resources and ensures utilization of the latest proven tools to optimize equipment inspection/ testing schedule, intervals and procedures.
9. Develops and maintains mechanical integrity and inspection standards, manuals, methodologies, work processes, procedures and enabling tools and systems.
10. Uses long term cost of ownership and integrity engineering principles to provide equipment integrity data to the technical resource networks for evaluation of equipment performance, vendor performance, and modifications.
11. Develops, reviews and updates PCE & piping equipment strategy and registration documents.
12. Serves as a technical resource in Mechanical integrity & corrosion; working across site work processes; networking broadly with the technical community; identifying opportunities and priorities of technology improvements.
13. Interfaces with procurement and contracting for technical evaluation of vendors/suppliers to ensure successful development scope and requirements
14. Plans and pursue own professional development and assists training of entry level engineers and personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, inspection methods.
15. Keeps current of the latest developments in applicable standards, codes, practices, procedures, methods, integrity analysis tools and safety requirements; stays abreast of new technologies and their possible uses by the company.
