The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity is available for an Assistant Account to join this project team based in the heart of the CBD.

In this role your duties will include:

• Perform invoice verification on behalf of Finance for the Downstream Project managed contracts by ensuring the invoice is accurate and compliant from a financial perspective.
• Perform the role of Cost Object Approver for invoices to ensure costs are correctly coded.
• Monitors the invoice verification process for submitted invoices, including updating of ARIBA approval workflows in accordance with Project Delegation of Authority (DOA) and P2P procedures.
• Assist Project Accountant with financial month end procedures, including compiling accruals for input into JDE, preparing general journals, and performing general quality control tasks across the month end process.
• Provide assistance with monthly expenditure reviews to ensure accurate and timely monthly cost reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly preliminary and final JDE extracts for Project Controls.
• Maintain clear documentation of the process, relevant decisions and work instructions.
• Maintain understanding of Australian Tax issues, and head office policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered you will be University qualified in Accounting/Finance and possess approximately 3 years experience in a similar Project Accounting role.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills, high level of attention to detail, and strong communication skills. In this role you will be required to manage multiple tasks and be flexible as priorities change, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Experience using Excel, JDE and Ariba will be highly regarded.

Length of assignment is 12 months, Perth location, 9 hour days.
