The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
For our client we are looking for an Assistant Accountant. On offer is a 12 months contract, Perth based. In this role your key responsibilities are:

Project Accounting
• Assist in manage designated work packages/contracts and finance interface between project execution, project controls and contract teams for those packages
• Assist in review cash calls and cash forecasts to ensure integrity and compliance with accounting requirements
• Assist team with review and input for Value of Work Done accruals
• Assist in develop monthly spend analysis reporting for Subcontracts
• Provide assistance with compilation of budget and forecast data for project budgeting process

EPC Processes and Procedures
• Assist in implement and maintain financial internal control processes to ensure robust and workable verification of payments and invoices.
• Assist in additional support to Module Specific EPC process with likely addition of new Fabrication Yard and increased cost in this key area.
• Assist Accountant with Backcharge process, Finance to be involved in future development state with Contracts and the contractors interface.
• Assist Accountant with Capital Stewardship process including the contractor’s Fixed asset register and capital spares.

Conduct business analysis to support management decision making
• Assist Accountant in constantly and consistently seek out continuous improvement of processes. Seek the support of the Finance, Project Controls and Contracts and Procurement staff to implement and manage change
• Maintain excellent networks with Contracts & Project Controls, Contracts supervisory staff and their subordinates. Resolve issues that arise between Payment Verification staff and Contracts Advisors.

In order to fulfil the role you must have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following aspects:
• In this role you will be degree qualified with broad experience in Project Accounting
• You must have a background in EPC processes and procedures
• You must have proven experience in conducting business analysis to support management decision making
