Oil and Gas company
Assists in procuring goods and services in support of Company's operations utilizing sound purchasing principles and best practices. Assist in identifying supply sources, solicits & evaluates commercial offers, and finalizes placement of POs and contracts to achieve best quality and value for Company. Ensures that deliveries are prompt and in accordance with the required specifications. Under the direction of the Procurement and Contracts Specialist, core tasks include, but are not limited to:
Performs all work in accordance with Company's Health, Safety, Environmental (HS&E) compliance policies and procedures with the goal of achieving Target Zero for HS&E related incidents
Assist with the management of the electronic filing system for all Vendor prequalification packages and insurance certificates
Assist with filing of Procurement Group documentation in accordance with Company's document control requirements
Receives, processes, and sources internal requests for goods and services (purchase requisitions) from Company's approved Vendor list
Develops, issues, and administers requests for quotation (RFQ) packages as directed
Develops, issues, and administers Purchase Order (PO) documents including change orders as directed
Expedites delivery of Purchase Orders by contacting vendors and/or shippers to ensure that goods and equipment are received in accordance with the associated requirement date(s)
Enters and maintains accurate records and information in Company's ERP and Document Control system
Provides general administration support to the Operations Procurement Group including, without limitation creating forms and documents, scanning, filing, copying, faxing, answering phones, and general material management support
Key Relationships within and outside the Company:
Candidate shall interface with internal customers (i.e. maintenance and operations) and with external suppliers.
HSE Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the policies, efforts, and programs of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
Working Conditions & Physical Expectations:
Primary working conditions will be in an industrial warehouse office environment. Work may require:
Periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling
Lifting boxes of approximately 50 pounds
Walking short distances outside between facilities in a hot & humid environment
