The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Under supervision of qualified inspector, the incumbent will perform simple inspection tasks and assist in a full range of inspection and QC work in a specific discipline i.e. Mechanical, Electrical & Civil.
1. Perform simple external and internal Inspection of plant equipment for mechanical defects and corrosion.
2. Assist in ensuring the integrity and compliance of facilities and plant equipment with applicable codes and Sadara engineering specifications and requirements during fabrication/manufacturing (procurement), installation/constructions (projects) and in-service / shutdowns (operations).
3. Assist in welding inspection for defects and to ensure relevant procedures and welder qualification and performance requirements are met.
4. Assist in materials inspection for defects and to ensure grade, tolerances and compatibility.
5. Assist in inspection that requires use of basic inspection tools including callipers, micrometres, boroscopes & pit gages; conventional None Destructive Testing (NDT) methods including VT, PT, MPT, UT & RT.
6. Assist in coating inspection including surface preparation, holiday-testing and assists with applicator certification review.
7. Assist in witnessing hydrostatic, pneumatic and other pressure testing.
8. Perform corrosion monitoring and inspection activities as required by the work process.
9. Assist in drafting inspection worksheets, recommendations and reports.
10. Update inspection records, log books and management systems to ensure inspection work and data are properly documented and saved.
11. Assist in QC inspection for new equipment fabrication and installation and/ or for repairs and modification in existing equipment repairs.
12. Complete the On Job Training (OJT) Tasks as required by the Individual Development Plan (IDP).
13. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Assistant Inspector II :
• A Two-year Technical College degree in Mechanical studies or equivalent. This can be waived by High School (industrial/science) degree with three years of experience and training in plant or project inspection.
• English Proficiency: Up to Level 7, TOFEL or equivalent.
• Physically fit for equipment entry and climbing.
Assistant Inspector I :
In addition to the above, the following qualifications shall apply:
• Five (5) conventional NDT methods level 1 (VT, PT, MT, UT & RT) and completion of OJT Tasks required by IDP.
