Our client is a leading oil and gas service provider.

The Role:
Job Duties:
Under general oversight of a project engineer, performs a variety of basic project engineering duties selecting and applying accepted and standard engineering practices associated with the engineering and construction of projects. Work may include but is not limited to the following:
Maintain, compile and perform technical review and timely submittal of all project closeout documentation validating installation in conformance with design.
Requires travel to the field to assist the Project Engineer with project oversight during all phases of the project.
May be assigned as field project engineer on minor projects to review contractors work on-site for compliance with plans and specifications; reviews contractor documents; reports problems affecting project to Project Engineer.
Performs quality assurance during and reviews the quality and quantity of materials and the methods of placement and removal of materials in accordance with plans and specifications.
Assists with project close-out work, makes recommendations on the adequacy of field project documentation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a major in engineering from an institution accredited by ABET.
or
Two years college education and 16+ years experience with engineering and projects
• Working knowledge of the practical application of standard construction methods and equipment.
• Working knowledge of current engineering practices applied in the design, construction and operations of Company related engineering projects.
• Working knowledge of principles and practices applied in the inspection and testing of construction materials.
• Some knowledge of engineering computer applications.
• Ability to apply engineering principles and techniques.
• Ability to prepare, interpret and utilize engineering plans, maps and specifications.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, contractors, and clients.
