The Company:
Our client is a large organisation responsible for the planning and maintenance of major transport projects in the Manchester area. Following a period of continued growth they are seeking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager

The Role:
As an Assistant Project Manager, there are a number of expected duties:
• Undertake a handover between the current Assistant Project Manager to ensure that the project continues to be delivered with minimum disruption
• Maintain and continue to strengthen the existing relationships with key stakeholders in the project
• Manage the co-ordination and exchange of information between the parties to the construction contract through the clients dedicated communication system
• The Assistant Project Manager will manage, and continuously monitor, specific aspects of the project (as directed by the Project Manager) to ensure satisfactory progress and consistent delivery aligned to the agreed funding, outputs and timescales
• In the absence of the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager should attend/Chair project/stakeholder meetings on their behalf, recording all required actions and ensuring satisfactory and timely execution of such actions
• Attend the construction site to attend meetings and monitor/report on the progress of the works

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The Assistant Project Manager will ideally have experience in the transport industry
Other industries may include civil, construction, or highways.
