The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider for blue-chip companies in the UK.

The Role:
To take direction from the commercial manager and quantity surveyors to undertake a broad range of duties in order to provide support to the site commercial team, part of the role will carry responsibility for specific duties with flexibility to undertake ad hoc duties as the project may require this from time to time.

The main responsibilities are to Subcontract final accounts and provide support to the QSs in compiling subcontract final account submissions to the client in accordance with the final account programme.
Maintaining and updating individual subcontract final account files within the agreed template, researching and obtaining the required information and evidence, including package recommendations and client approvals, subcontract documentation, payment records and compensation events.
Develop and maintain various spread sheet's relation to compensation events, contract instructions and early warning notices.
Reproduction of final account documentation for client submission
Subcontract management
Receive payment certificates from QSs and enter into E1 (web based accounting package) so that payments are made within the contract timescales
Obtain all necessary approvals (including head office) for subcontract payments in accordance with the authority schedule
Take on specific duties as directed in relation to measurements of subcontract works and compensation events, including liaison and challenge with subcontractor's representatives as appropriate.
Maintain and update the subcontract payment schedule for inclusion in client application for payment, provide relevant information in order to support the application.
Maintenance of the client asset register
Take responsibility for a portfolio of cost elements and provide input into the monthly cost reporting cycle.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The individual will ideally have good communication and interpersonal skills as the work will involve working across multiple departments
The individual will be experienced in MS Excel and Word and have ability with learning other IT packages.
