The Role:
The job function of the Assistant System Integration Manager (AIM) is to assist the System Integration Manager in the planning, management and control the work of the EM unit’s Systems Integration staff and consultants (as needed).
The System Integration Group is responsible for ensuring that the subsystems being developed and deployed on the BPL project functionally interact as a single rail system entity, which meets all functional and performance requirements of the railway.
This position is based in the MTJV Project Management Office however some field work may be required as needed during the installation and commissioning stages of the Project as well as limited offshore travel, primarily in Asia.

Principal responsibilities
Under the direction of the System Integration Manager, the principal responsibilities of the Assistant System Integration Manager are to provide assistance with the following
- Development of an overall functional definition of the railway including all required system function and functional interfaces.
- Definition of a control list of all interfaces to be developed both within the scope of MTJV and to external parties.
- Coordination and assistance to all subcontractors in the development of detailed interface control documents.
- Coordination with Civil contractors to ensure that space, route and other physical requirements are accommodated.
- Ensuring that the physical coordination of all services are captured in a set of coordinated services drawings (CSDs)
- Development of overall project plans for EMC and assist subcontractors with design requirements for EMC.
- Development of the overall project plans for Noise and Vibration and assist subcontractors with design requirements for Noise and Vibration.
- Production of Ergonomic studies, establishment of project requirements for ergonomics and ensure that they are incorporated into the system design.
- Ensuring that all control room integration requirements are established and incorporated into the subsystem designs
- Performing periodic design reviews on all aspects of the rail systems
- Coordination with counterparts in other units.
- Preparation of technical reports and analyses as required.
- Attendance to meetings with other Project units, Sub-Contractors, clients and other external parties.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
At least ten (10) years of working experience with at least five (5) years in Systems Engineering in the rail industry.
Experience in engineering management, design acceptance, approvals and integration management.
Detailed Knowledge of at least two rail systems such as rolling stock, signalling, SCADA, power supply, communication systems, trackwork, depot equipment, AFC and CMMS.
Experience in managing suppliers and subcontracts
Capable of efficiently using software tools including MS Office, database tools, requirements traceability tools, CAD packages.
Fluent in English (spoken and written.
