The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role is to provide technical administration support to the engine design team within powertrain engineering assisting in the smooth & efficient operation of the department .
You will be required to work independently and proactively to ensure that from an administration perspective projects run efficiently to time and budget.
You will bring strong organisational skills to the business and be able to take initiative to ensure that the engineering teams and their internal and external customers are supported professionally at all times.
The Role includes the following tasks:
Create and maintain technical documentation and databases
Management of technical document approvals process and general records management
Creation and maintenance of progress tracking documents and issuing of status reports
Creation of technical documentation for various communication purposes
General administration tasks

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good interpersonal & team working skills
Self motivated
To be able to work independently, must have excellent attention to detail
IT skills; Microsoft Office , notably Word, Powerpoint and Excel Spread sheets is essential
Experience of Microsoft Project preferred. Email apps such as Google or Outlook
Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar) with post grad experience in an enginering environment is preferred.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Interpretation of 2D drawings, Basic 3D CAD knowledge useful In depth understanding of product
Bill of Materials and experience creating BOMs for an engineering project
Experience in part procurement and logistics management
Candidates will have ideally gained experience working within an automotive OEM and have worked on base engine system design for a prolonged period.
