The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
Living on Barrow Island on a rotation basis working with a back to back. Many interfaces with various groups. The position is part of the site execution team with strong interface and relationship development with the Perth-based Engineering organization. The key interfaces at site are with the Area Construction Engineers and the Barrow Island Site Technical Services Manager. Assistant Technical Services Manager Responsibilities

• Acts as the focal point and interface between the Construction Engineering team and Quality group, supporting planning, coordination, engineering input and management of change of Barrow Island technical services activities
• Ensures the effective application of processes, procedures, and specifications to maintain quality, schedule and productivity on Barrow Island during the construction phase with regards to the close-out of Requests For Information and Technical Queries.
• Provides guidance to engineering centres on required priorities of outstanding engineering activities to support the construction schedule.
• Provides support to Completions and Commissioning teams on resolution of technical issues.
• Interfaces with the BWI Site Engineering Team who provides the engineering discipline-specific subject matter expertise to resolve technical matters, either on-site or by liaising with POC and other design centres in a timely manner.
• Supports the day-to-day interface with the Area Construction Engineers, providing a focus on safety, environment and quarantine together with quality and engineering aspects.
• Participates in the site TSTO (Total Safety Task Observation), Step Back 5X5 and HIRC (Hazard Intervention and Reporting Card) processes. Assistant Technical Service Manager Assurance Assists in the conduct of Quality audits and effectively manages change. Documentation Control Supports the Barrow Island Site Engineering Manager and Technical Services Manager to ensure effective project closeout, including documentation. Completion and Commissioning Support
• Provides pre-commissioning mechanical completion oversight and verification. Monitors the mechanical completion phase and participates in the transition to final hook-up and commissioning phases.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified engineer or equivalent experience
• 15+ years site construction experience
10+ years (includes 5 years supervisory) +PE preferred and may be required by region

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Competency in the use of common computer systems and software,
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and an understanding of instrumentation construction management, sequencing and methodologies, Good knowledge of LNG construction, and
• Well developed communication and interpersonal relationship skills
