The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Assurance Engineer to support implementation of Quality Management Processes across the Project and Project contractors and to manage the internal assurance processes, certification, IVB and TPI activities.

This position will be based in an engineering contractor office on the outskirts of London with worldwide travel to engineering and construction contractor offices and suppliers works.
Anticipate the role to be initially 6 to 9 months but if it works out and goes all the way through to the construction stage of the project this role could be 3 to 4 years.

 Development and implementation of Team Quality Management System
 Development of quality assurance and control processes, plans and procedures in a
major projects environment.
 Supervision of Contractors and supplier Quality Management System
implementation.
 Implementation of criticality assessment processes and development of quality
programmes.
 Supporting discipline engineers identify quality risks in design, procurement and
fabrication activities.
 Development of EPC and supplier contract quality requirements
 Supervision of engineering contractors quality system development
 Managing supply chain QA/QC quality programmes.
 Advising discipline engineers on manufacturing and fabrication quality requirements/
problems.
 Development and implementation of Independent Verification Body Strategies.
 Development and implementation of Third Party Inspection Contracts
 Track cost of poor quality
 Development and implementation of quality improvement programmes, including
tracing cost of poor quality.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Formal Qualification/ proven experience to Degree/ HNC/ Marine DoT or Equivalent.
Formal training in Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation an
advantage.
Formal training in Health, Safety and Environment issues an advantage.
Internationally recognised qualifications in Non-destructive Examination (NDE)
techniques an advantage.

Experience:
Significant experience implementing Quality Management Systems in major
engineering and construction contractors.

Significant experience of material and equipment QA/QC requirements

Significant experience of QA/QC controls needed for manufacture and construction
of Corrosion Resistant Alloys (CRA) piping and fitting.

Significant experience of QA/QC requirements associated with major pipeline design
and construction activities including CRA.
Experience working with a major operator

Experience of QA/QC requirements associated with static and rotating equipment

Experience with design
