The Company:
An established oil and gas operator company which is covering exploration and production in the business in Indonesia is looking for "Audit & Tax Compliance Accountant (National Only)"

The Role:
Reporting to the Reporting & Compliance Manager, the Audit & Tax Compliance Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of company tax accounting processes, and for planning and implementing audits of company systems and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Company policies

• Demonstrated leadership ability and commercial acumen.
• Knowledge of key roles, people and responsibilities within BPMIGAS organisation.
• Good knowledge of Indonesian Oil & Gas cost recovery principles and up to date knowledge of PSC Cost Recovery and Taxation regulations
• Proven ability to interact well with wide variety of industry players and ability to open opportunities mutually beneficial to both parties.
• Ability to think outside the box, leading to win-win negotiating outcomes.
• Ability to quickly assess commercial reports and analysis and make and clearly represent recommendations so made.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally
• Must have fluency in English language, both written and oral.
• Ability to prioritise workflows and meet deadlines

The successful candidate will work within the Reporting and Compliance Team

• Creating and reviewing tax provisions in the general ledger.
• Providing tax calculations to the relevant business units.
• Assisting with the provision of financial data to key stakeholders for various tax initiatives.
• Reviewing tax legislation updates.
• Developing, implementing and monitoring annual audit plans.
• Coordinating financial and fraud risk assessments.
• Identifying areas of weak internal control.
• Preparing reports and recommendations for improvements to control and governance processes.
• Perform all work in a safe manner ensuring your health and safety and that of all other employees
• Ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory and corporate affairs requirements on a timely basis
• Maintaining good working relationship with peers and other departments.
• Identify ways of improving systems and processes within your area of responsibility.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by your manager to assist in ensuring the success of the company operation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A university degree or professional qualification, in accountancy or its equivalent
5 - 10 years’ experience in the resources sectors, with the immediately prior 5 years being in the oil and gas sector in an Audit and Tax Compliance role.
