The Role:
The Audit Team Leader will plan, coordinate and manage successfully all activities related to the contractual National Oil Company audit in addition, organising and managing internal audits and compliance audits. This position reports to the Head of Internal Control and interfaces regularly with the CFO. This position is critical for Partner's cost recovery

• Plan, manage and report internal, compliance and Finance applications control audits
• Plan the SOC annual audit
• Ensure all documentations requested is stored, monitored and made available to the auditors
• Manage a team of 4-6 staff, allocate and coordinate the workload within the team
• Ensure the daily interface with SOC auditors
• Organise clarification and close sessions with the auditors
• Liaise with all internal key stakeholders to ensure proper support during the audit period, in Iraq or in the UK
• Regular debrief to the CFO on progress, issues arising from the audit
• Identify to improve the efficiency of the audit
• Coach and Mentor local Iraqi National staff

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for the role, applicants must have the following experience/ qualifications:
• Previous experience in audit field (8-10 years), ideally with a professional services background or a highly dynamic environment. Oil & Gas experience would be a plus;
• Team leader experience of 4-6 staff;
• Previous experience in managing National Oil Company audits;
• Ability to relentlessly progress the audit work in the face of challenges from SOC;
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines;
• Ability to recognize and solve problems; analytical skills;
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate firmly with control and confidence internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels;
• Good report writing skills;
• Ability to be a trusted partner, with strong integrity and fair;
• Rigorous individual with attention to details

Fluent in Arabic and English (Writing and Speaking)
