The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
To deliver a process with all elements completed on time & to the required quality, following standardised work & risk assessment controls. Required to work on processes of a technical nature


1. Complete standard work in the correct sequence & time using the Andon as a problem occurs
Work flexibly within the Team & Zone.
Support requests for overtime as required, to achieve daily production & pass to sales, although voluntary.
Minimum process knowledge of 2 full assignments to Takt & rotate on processes as planned at Team level.
Actively share information & skills within the Team to increase / improve production & quality.
Report concerns with part shortages, quality, tooling, etc. to the Team Leader as they occur.
Always use the correct escalation process:- Team Leader/Zone Manager/Production Manager/Senior Production Manager.

2. Attend start of shift meetings & be punctual.
Deputise for Team Leader as required with Zone Manager authorization.
Raise concerns on Team Leader Board for resolution.
Maintain good 5s controls – ownership of the individuals work area.
Carry out TPM checks required to maintain equipment, fixtures, tools, etc.

3. Participate in PDR process (Performance Development Reviews).
Participate in Zone & Team window roles.
Train Colleagues and Apprentices as required to support team flexibility
Participate in process video reviews & actively raise improvement ideas.
Follow process documentation.
Support updates of documents to keep live & in good control.
Support Team Leader, Zone Manager & Zone Engineer by participating in process audits.
Help implement improvement ideas raised from the audit.

4. Process Improvement
Actively seek opportunities to improve the process
Raise ideas freely.
Demonstrate a positive attitude in Team reviews.
Actively participate in problem solving activities.
Inform Team Leader of any abnormality seen.
Support Team Leader/Zone Manager with containments to prevent further defects from the process.
Ensure a good product is passed downstream to the next customer.
Understand & carry out agreed quality checks.
Understand the Teams quality targets & actual performance.
Develop new processes to support new model introduction and process improvements

5. Health and safety
Participate in any safety reviews as required.
Report all Accidents & Near Misses to the Team Leader/Zone Manager immediately.
Participate in the Accident & Near Miss investigations.
Take personal responsibility for H&S, for self & others at work.
Ensure daily that safe working practices are followed & using correct PPE.
Raise Safety Awareness Points.


1.Knowledge and understanding of Electrical rectification tooling and software (VAS Tools, ODISE/S, CPTool.
2.Proven track record of working with vehicle CANBus systems (Lin, MOST, Flexray) including repair methods.
3.Extensive experience of Electrical diagnostic repair techniques and methodology.
4.Ability to process supporting diagnostic repair documentation including:
Wiring Harness Drawings
Fusing Layouts
Workshop configuration/set-up routines


1.Good working knowledge of Electrical production test facilities & test routines.
2.Experience of Electrical/Mechanical fault finding and repair methods including:
Test Field experience
Wheel Alignment
Rolling Road etc.
3. Knowledge and understanding of set-up and calibration procedures (Production and Work Shop) and fault diagnosis and repair methodology for Driver Assistance Systems including:
Heads Up Display
Top View
Night Vision
Lane Departure etc.


Has demonstrable knowledge within a manufacturing environment.
Can demonstrate that they have a good knowledge of manufacturing principles.
Would be expected to undertake on going specific identified area development activities.
Attended Job Instruction training / Completed training records.
Has a recognized qualification – Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate or equivalent combined with minimum NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent
