The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

To deliver Head Up Display systems and Instrument Cluster systems to the agreed performance and quality at the correct time and to agreed cost.
To understand and capture Company requirements for Head Up display and Instrument Clusters.
To deal effectively with internal customers e.g. Purchase, Finance, Styling, Quality, Logistics, Production and Manufacturing etc. To also deal effectively with suppliers.
Specific tasks with be the Head Up Display requirements and delivery. In addition, it is also a requirement to become familiar with the Kombi Instrument Cluster and support the future Instrument Cluster project.

Scope of the Role

- Work with internal customers and suppliers to produce feasible design studies, timing plans, cost estimates and component drawings. Work with Styling to adhere and review the surface data. Work with Electrical HMI (Graphics) team to create the graphics required for software.
- Produce a Company requirement for the HUD and Instrument Cluster function. Liaise with the Group if appropriate to get support for module features and carry over parts. Work with - Electrical CAD support to package the features and produce release drawings if required. Attend design review meetings including FMEA meetings if appropriate.
- Perform Validation tests on the parts. Fill out internal reporting systems to report on testing progress. Overseas travel will be required. Produce test plans and achieve sign-off. Enter data into the System 42 database to ensure the correct hardware and software versions are available for pre-production and production builds.
- Work with Quality team to ensure supplier quality and part quality is maintained. Also, to ensure that the part meets the requirements and address any issues in development and service.
- Work with Purchase and Finance to support the nomination of suppliers. Visits to suppliers are normally part of this role. Raise orders for sample parts and equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

- Engineering Degree level preferable.
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the German language would also be an advantage.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project & Outlook.
