The Company:
A global network operating in over 20 countries and regions with bases in 54 locations throughout the world. Based on over 40 years of experience we provide product procurement, distribution and logistics services to our clients through our global operation.

The Role:
The purpose of the role is to develop process and systems improvements relating to the import and export of automotive parts globally.

The primary function is to:
•Create “best practice” in all business processes by identifying and implementing operational improvement (SQCDM)
•Champion business improvement initiatives
•Develop appropriate Standard Operation Procedures
•Develop appropriate management systems to support effective management of the Parts Group

Duties include:
* Carry out full analysis of current processes & implement systematic improvement plan, such as:
Evaluate the current transactional processes in the business in order to identify efficiencies and synergies across the operation, by understanding the ERP system capabilities coupled with the requirements of the team.
* Evaluate working instructions and SOPs, updating and refining as appropriate.
* Create and implement a full Time and Motion study of the business transactional areas to evaluate the success the improvements developed.
•Lead business improvement activities using continuous improvement and TQM methodology.
•Develop and monitor business plan progress and provide updates through presentations and PDCA.
•Create and deliver training material to implement improvements within the Group and ensure standardised application.
•Study special projects/feasibility studies, as required.
•Supporting daily operations of the Parts Group as required.

Short term contract or Permanent contract will be considered

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Business process reengineering and process development experience within a supply chain environment (industrial engineering).
•Import/Export understanding.
•High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Excellent numerical skills.
•Excellent communication (verbal & written) and organisation skills.
•Full UK driving license.
*Import and Export experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Automotive procurement experience.
• Project Management skills.
• Six sigma or similar qualification would be an advantage in this position.
