The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of 3 Backbone systems Trainers in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
Scope of Current Request
Client is engaging (3) knowledgeable training professionals to deliver instructor-led training courses to approximately 1500 super users and end users per the set deployment schedule for the Upstream Backbone deployment project in 2011/2012. We are looking for experienced SAP trainers in the SRM, MM, IM, FIN and BW modules. Some training experience in Maximo is helpful.

Starting date June 13, 2011, ending at program close in 3Q 2012. Classroom training will be conducted in Houston and at field locations across North America and will require a significant amount of travel.
Successful training professionals will be able to support training delivery for super users and end users for each new go live in the Client business unit during 2011-2012. Client plans to train super users 8 weeks prior to go-live. Client plans to train the majority of its end user deployment population 4-6 weeks prior to the go-live date and the remaining population 4 weeks after go-live.

Super user and end user training will take place in across Client field locations and in Houston, Texas. Significant travel will be required (up to 100%) to provide training classes and floorwalking support across North America, spanning from southern Texas to Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Kansas.

Responsibilities

 Learn Upstream Backbone global training materials
 Complete Backbone mandatory Train the Trainer course requirements
 Demonstrate knowledge of Client Upstream Backbone-specific processes and systems to be trained
 Provide professional learning environment for all classroom training sessions
 Learn Local deployment requirements and any system exceptions to be used in training courses from process leads
 Participate with other Client Backbone Trainers in continuous improvement activities
 Strictly adhere to Client safety policies and requirements
 Strictly follow Client code of conduct requirements
 Winter Safety training required for some travel in Client
 Required to provide floorwalking support post Go Live
 Create Client job aides as required

Deliverables

• Deliver the training to super users and end users using the Upstream Backbone global training materials
• Demonstrate system transactions to end users through the simulated environment
• Provide guidance to end users while they conduct exercises in the simulated environment
• Training on using help aids (Interactive User Guides, Simulations, Process Flows, etc.) so end users are proficient
• Conduct end-of-course learner assessments and report results to NA Gas Backbone Change Manager
• Capture classroom questions and secure and publish answers in Sharepoint site within 1 day of training session
• Provide floorwalking support to users post go live
• Conduct post go live training sessions as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Functional knowledge of at least one of the following systems required:
 Maximo version 7.x
 SAP IM – Inventory Management:
 SAP MM – Materials Management
 SAP FI – Invoicing
 SAP SD – Goods Issue
 SAP SRM – Supplier Relationship Module
 SAP MDM—Master Data Management
• Instructor-led training delivery and facilitation experience for systems and business processes as outlined
• Experience with conducting end of course learner assessments
• Knowledge of work management, procure to pay, materials management and finance business processes
• Ability to use UPK to demonstrate system functionality and assist users in gaining hands on experience
• Virtual classroom facilitation experience preferred
• Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated communication skills and experience in teaching and supporting end users in a learning challenge
