The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

The Role:
Location - Sizewell

Salary - £TBC

The Role:
I am recruiting for Barrier Monitors to work on the outage at Sizewell B Power Station in October this year.

This role entails:
- Routine monitoring for radioactive contamination of personnel and items at barriers from radiological areas;
- Limited radiological surveys;
- Housekeeping at radiological barriers;
- Maintaining stocks of consumables;
- General duties as directed by their supervisor.

Shifts
After a few days of training pre-outage (approximately 8 hour days), all staff will move on to a 12hour system.

Training
Full training for this role will be given, which comprises a two day training course with an assessment.
These training dates are scheduled for 23rd and 30th September
The training will be given in the Leiston area of Suffolk

The successful candidates of the above training course will then be required to attend an additional day's training on Friday 10th October , prior to the outage starting, with the
final part of training being held on Monday 13th October. This will include both Client and Site Specific training and site familiarisation

The shift pattern will commence from 17/18th October and will be either days or nights of 12hrs per shift

The outage is scheduled for 29 days and all successful candidate must be available for the duration.

The successful candidates will ideally have previous power station experience and it would be advantageous to hold a safety passport.
