The Company:
Our client has been established for over 20 years locally and is focused on delivering design solutions to the nuclear industry, specialising in the design of mechanical handling plant and equipment, the design and installation of plant control systems and the provision of support to plant safety reviews.
The Role:
Assist in the management and completion of bid documentation for new work and variations / additions to existing contracts. Coordination of Bid Resource and reporting compilation
The Bid Executive will Ensure bids are compliant with customer requirements and highlight the companies USPs
Assist in writing and managing bids through internal approval process
Manage subsequent queries, drawing on the support of the wider organisation.
The Bid Executive will manage Capture plans for each bid ensuring it is completed by relevant designated sales lead, detailing customer.
Liaising with other relevant departments to develop technical solutions
Liaising with commercial department to develop commercial solution / manage compliance
Assist the estimation team to build up cost models to present to clients
Assist the sales team to provide further information as required
Some travel may be required between UK sites
The Bid Executive will Package up successful bids into a handover package to allow the project to commence
Coordinate Bid diary and manage the work schedule for Bid Team
Collate Bid statistics and manage reporting with Bid Team Manager
Provide coaching and support to tender teams for presentation
Undertake debriefs and feedback sessions on all tenders and distribute learnings
Maintain the CV directory by ensuring CVs are collated for new joiners, and removal of those for leavers, ensuring consistency and brand compliance
Work with Marketing to maintain and update case studies library
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bid / tender writing experience essential
• Graduate caliber or qualified by experience
• Engineering experience (desirable)
• Excellent Communication skills
• IT Literate, experienced in using Microsoft office packages, particularly Excel
• Ability to work to own initiative
