The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Bid Manager for a long term contract position within The UK

Location: Runcorn
Duration: Contract could possible turn into a permanent position

DUTIES

To provide a bid writing and proposal service and to project manage social housing bids, liaising with the operational delivery teams, legal and finance teams.
To co-ordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout the bid process
Safety Compliance & Conduct
Follow the safety & environmental policies, guidelines and procedures as directed by the business unit.
Complete health, safety and environment checks within area ensuring corrective actions are in place where required.
Customer Outcomes:
Will provide internal stakeholders with approval data to support bid sign off
Operational Excellence:
Produces customer focussed and compelling soft market test documentation, PQQs, and tender quality submissions.
Completes and submits bids to client timescales and ensures all compliance procedures have been followed and submissions meet client requirements.
Develops a creative approach to the writing and presentation of bids
Builds internal and external relationships with individuals associated with the bid process in order to create quality bids
Maintains and updates an information library
Obtains client feedback on successful and unsuccessful bids and contributes to a lessons learned database
Thoroughly review tenders that you are responsible for to ensure risks are properly understood and controlled.
Understand the build-up and cost mechanisms within the tender, and the impact of client requirements on the quality and pricing solutions.
Support in preparing and delivery of client presentations post submission

Additional Requirements:
The ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with management
Excellent writing skills, able to write creatively and logically to produce quality and compelling documents
Excellent organization, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to use Microsoft office packages (excel, word, powerpoint)
Strong commercial skills to support estimator in overall bid submission
Ability to build great relationships, influence others, network effectively and partner the business with confidence and credibility
Able to drive change and manage stakeholders effectively
Have experience of bid management with a track record of success in the public sector and preferably social housing
Experience of working in a fast moving bid team environment
