The Company:
Large oil & gas company (our client) is urgently looking for BLACK SEA – WEST SIBERIA SAFETY ADVISOR

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE ELIGIBILITY TO WORK IN RF

The Role:
OVERALL SERVICES NEEDED
• Support the HSE Manager and Field and Office Safety Team Lead in providing safety support services for the Black Sea and West Siberia Projects
• Develop and steward implementation of Black Sea and Western Siberia field safety programs
• Interface with field contacts to obtain information on safety meetings, safety reporting, and incident investigations
• Provide support in the areas of risk assessments and HAZOPS
• Steward results for learnings and gap closure from risk assessments / HAZOPS for Black Sea and West Siberia Projects
• Coordinate Black Sea and West Siberia HSE Stewardship and reporting for each of the projects
• Perform periodic trend analyses for incidents, near misses, safety observations for Black Sea and West Siberia projects

OTHER SERVICES NEEDED
• Systematically assess the extent to which the JV project is meeting SHE plans / processes and objectives.
• Support risk assessments and studies for Black Sea and West Siberia Projects, and ensure results are addressed as relevant field work is executed.
• Support and / or participate in investigations and follow-up of incidents. Provide root cause analysis expertise to support these efforts and review reports.
• May be assigned other services by the JV SHE Function.
• Develop / deliver technical presentations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degree and / or technical diploma / certification, Professional Engineer (PE), National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated work experience in both onshore and offshore exploration projects (including some prior oil & gas experience).
• Broad technical knowledge and HSE skills with working knowledge of field operations in Deepwater and onshore arctic environments
• Thorough knowledge of safety standards, codes, and practices in the Russian Federation.
• Ability and desire to function in an integrated project team environment. Ability to develop successful working relationships with emphasis on effective communications in an integrated team environment.
• Maintains a high degree of ethical conduct.
• Must be able to effectively communicate / influence multiple levels, from Senior Level Manager to Worker.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ability to work in harsh environments (examples include temperature and / or humidity extremes, remote locations with limited amenities) with changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel / live away from home for extended time periods.
• Proficient in use of computers and programs such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
• Read, write, and speak fluent English and Russian, as required to function effectively within the JV Team.
• May have location-specific fitness for duty requirements (examples include standing for extended time periods, climbing, bending, walking, reaching).
• No training will be provided (other than JV specific safety standards and procedures)
