The Company:
A leading Service Company are looking to hire a Blender Operator to initially be based in the US for a 6 month period before working on a newly constructed vessel in the Netherlands.

The Role:
Job Function

Provide leadership and supervision to vessel crew in the use and operation of vessel based equipment. Responsible for all maintenance of stimulation equipment and to ensure that all records are entered into maintenance system. Plan and assign personnel to carry out repair and routine maintenance routines. Ensure that all testing and calibrating of equipment is carried out and records kept up to date. Organize third parties to carry out repairs and modifications as required. Liaise and report status of equipment and personnel to Vessel Supervisor. Ensure that all equipment is ready for use when required. Follow procedures for the day to day operations, seeking advice and approval as appropriate. Provide relief cover for Vessel Supervisor.

Responsible for the operation: stimulation process blender, acid system, proppant system, liquid additive system (LAS) and dry additive system (DAS) during stimulation operations. Ensures equipment ready for use when required.

Key Areas

1. Responsible for the day to day running of the vessel and all maintenance routines.
2. Provide assistance and relief cover for Vessel Supervisor.
3. Liaise with all departments’ maintenance and repair requirements and plan work schedule.
4. Report and Liaise with Vessel Supervisor all maintenance and repair requirements.
5. Assign tasks and assignments to relevant personnel.
6. Operate equipment as necessary during operations as detailed by the Vessel Supervisor
7. Take appropriate action to ensure any remedial work is carried out with any problems that can occur with stimulation equipment.
8. Provide cover and train all other personnel in the safe and optimum use of all stimulation equipment.
9. Monitor treatments and compile accurate job logs as detailed by Vessel Supervisor.
10. Responsible to ensure that maintenance records are maintained and recorded in maintenance system
11. Carry out and train other personnel in all aspects of maintenance and repair of process equipment.
12. Report to Vessel Supervisor on present status etc., of all equipment and personnel to include the following:-
a) Liaise with vessel crew to ensure vessel ability to perform treatments.
b) Converse with crew regarding equipment and chemicals being prepared for operations.
c) Ensure the correct operation, maintenance of equipment before, during and after operations.
e) Ensure the correct provision and transfer of chemicals before, during and after operations.
13. Responsible to ensure that records are maintained and recorded on maintenance computer for all departments.
14. Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of all fellow workers or other workers is preserved at all times.
15. Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant BHI/COMPANY HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures.
16. Perform to the Quality Standards set by BHI.
17. Any other duties as assigned by the Vessel Supervisor

Safe Working

Within area of responsibility:
1. Prevent the potential escalation of any stimulation operational critical condition.
2. Satisfy current legislation, codes of practice and BJ health and safety organizational requirements.
3. Ensure that accidents and incidents are effectively managed and investigated in accordance with BHI, COMPANY and legislative requirements.
4. Ensure that health and safety systems, security systems, procedures are utilized to maximum effect to avoid accidents and incidents.
5. Ensure all necessary records are complete accurate and legible, are filed as per procedure and are communicated to those personnel who have the right to know.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience, Qualifications and Skills

1. Preferably 3+ years in last 5 years on vessels/offshore in Service Supervisor/SEO position.
2. Evidence of O-Cap/S-Cap training or similar.
3. Hold all relevant training certificates e.g., current UKOOA medical, STCW 95, offshore survival certificate.
4. Ability to perform duties within difficult parameters and in a challenging environment in accordance with BHI QHSE systems, standard practices and statutory regulations.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills
6. Intermediate (or higher) ability with MS Word / Excel preferred.
