The Role:
The BO (Business Objects) developer/Admin will be responsible for analyze, design and build Webi in Business Object version 4.1. The developer will design, build, test, Webi reports along with all the required documentation. BO developer will support the business and participate in outreach activities to help the organization with adoption, training and resolve technical issues that may arise from the users.

Also, this resource will have some administrator responsibilities. He should monitor the system and resolve any admin related issues.

The main responsibilities are:

• Convert the business requirements to Technical requirements
• Create the Functional/Technical design deliverables
• Design, build, test, and fix highly customized Webi reports
• Deliver Knowledge exchange sessions to the client
• Document clearly all the delivered Universes and Webi reports
• Proactively monitor the system performance and ensure the services are up and running
• Troubleshoot any system administration issues
• Assist with Installation/Configuration(Server), Software Packages Implementation(packing, testing, rollout)
• Manage report promotions through the various environments as required by development activitie

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in writing code or doing other technical / analytical / configuration tasks. Responsibilities include - Designing, developing and supporting application solutions (assisting in production issue resolution); - Compliance with defined code and documentation standards, including peer review of code and documentation of code changes; - Re-engineering highly complex program components including code generation; - Integrating software packages residing on multiple platforms; - Understand / review functional specifications and translate into program specifications; - Define / review technical specifications; - Participation in decisions regarding the integration of software packages and programs; - Performing testing activities; - Translation of business requirements into program specifications and writing code from the functional description
