A newly established and rapidly growing engineering service company situated in Europe, created by former engineers of a very well established OEM who are developing the company to compete internationally, mainly focusing on the automotive industry.

Currently, this client are working with some of the best car manufacturers in the world, specialising in complex assignments and offer excellence in development and integration of systems and attributes for complete vehicles.

The Role:
A fantastic 'Contract' opportunity has arisen for our Swedish/Midlands based automotive client who is looking for experienced Body & Trim Design Engineers (CATIA V5).

Our client works with exciting and challenging assignments within Research & Development with a number of car manufacturers around the world. In this position you will be a part of their Body team, working with Body in White, Closures and Exterior in close cooperation with Product-, Validation- and Simulation engineers.

As a Design Engineer you will design and develop Body & Trim parts for future C segment vehicles. You will be working in CAD (CATIA V5) with both conceptual and detailed design, and will play an important role in the cross functional engineering team´s work to optimise the design to fulfil the vehicle requirements in order to compete in the automotive market.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful Body Design Engineer will have demonstrable experience within the following:

- BSc in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years work experience as design engineer at Automotive OEM or Tier 1.
- Very good CAD expertise in CATIA V5.
- Good knowledge of plastic and steel as construction material.
- Experience of working with suppliers and knowledge of their working methods.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Driver license.

- Able to work both independently and in teams.
- Very good communication skills.
- Desire to develop technical and personal skills with high levels of motivation and a positive attitude.
