The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Goals & Objectives
- Responsible for managing all intercompany quality assurance processes for supplied bodies and outer panels to the Crewe plant and achieving body quality targets.
- Strategic planning of resources and processes to drive development of CP5a bodies according to PEP.
- Drive and influence company requirements in body product and process quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing effective PEP delivery for BIW (Body In White) module through all project phases
- Define objectives for Quality in terms of product quality and process controls.
- Defining resources for projects within planning round window.
- Maximisation of available resource to cover overlapping project requirements.
- Ensure all PEP deliverables are met for CP5a body.
- Define and maintain project plans for body including quality maturation loop management.
- Define budgets required to deliver project.
- Monitor and deliver projects to budget.
- Escalate deviations and secure agreement.
- Achieve quality targets by defining and maintaining quality assurance processes
- Strategic planning and target-setting for body assembly processes - gain agreement with external body supplier.
- Establish and maintain effective problem-solving feedback loops.
- Develop and maintain effective working network in companies group to influence maximum product quality for the company.
- Responsible for supplied part maturation and development on outer body panels delivered to Crewe body shop.
- Responsible for creation and execution of quality concepts for body and paint processes.
- Responsible for coordination of PEP, problem-solving and Quality improvement activities between the company and external body suppliers.
- Drive effective problem management for body, within the company and at external partners.
- Management and coordination of concerns through agreed group systems (MA Online, KPM).
- Drive complex problems to effective resolution and escalate through correct forums (FAP, Meisterbock, Quality day).
- Speaker for external body suppliers in board level forums (e.g. Quality Day).
- Speaker for the company at external body manufacturing sites and ensure that company interests are upheld in Group forums (e.g. Meisterbock).
- Lead and develop the Production Quality body team
- Proactively manages performance of the team in line with company policies and procedures.
- Maintains up-to-date colleague records in line with HR requirements.
- Responsible for the engagement of all Colleagues in the team and drive effective StiBam improvement plans.
- Ensure training and development of all colleagues to both company and the group requirements, and those records of training are held, plus maintenance of versatility charts and skills matrices.
- Responsible for generation and maintenance of process documentation.
- Responsible for ensuring effective MBO reviews are carried out.
- Develop, plan and maintain effective organisational structure to ensure company objectives are met within the planning round window.

- Degree qualification, preferable in an engineering field.

Previous Experience
- Demonstrable experience in whole vehicle quality assurance.
- Ability to coach, lead and engage a working team, while developing and managing their performance.
- Demonstrable experience in application of quality tools and practical problem solving.
- Able to influence outcomes at all levels in the organisation, using technical knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels in the business - internally and externally.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge principles to effective practical problem solving.
- Extensive practical experience in body assembly and paint application processes.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to the creation and development of quality concepts for new body and paint processes.
- Proven ability to form effective relationships in group.

Practical & Technical Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of complete vehicle assembly.
- Knowledge of production processes and support systems.
- Detailed knowledge of CP5a body development through group PEP.
- Extensive knowledge of super-plastic forming processes and the principles involved.
- Proficient in German language including technical terms.
- Complex or advanced problem solving (e.g. DoE, Global 8D, Kepner Tregoe).
