The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of engineers strongly focussed on the delivery of braking system mechanical components for future vehicle programmes.
The team works closely with a range of suppliers in the UK and further afield.

Key Responsibilities The candidate will contribute towards the design and delivery of all aspects of the foundation brakes components on the allocated vehicle programme or platform.
The candidate will work with the Lead Engineers to deliver the technical and gateway deliverables on a brakes programmes. To be part of the multi-functional team who will deliver:
Supplier sourcing management & Supplier programme status reporting
* Issue management & resolution Engineering design release Delivery of component PPAP
* Brake system launch into volume production

The role will be Gaydon based but will require some travel round client sites sites in the UK and supplier sites - generally in the UK or mainland Europe.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to manage engineering design and component introduction by working with the supplier and internal stakeholders to deliver to volume manufacturing on time and to project targets of cost and quality
Ability to communicate confidently and accurately by means of presentations & written documents using MS Office applications and other proprietary and company specific IT tools.

Skills Preferred:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment where success is measured by successful delivery to target which can only be achieved by effectively managing resources and communications in a collaborative and supportive way.

Experience Required:
Engineering design and component introduction in a fast paced high volume environment Project Planning - using MS Project or other proprietary management tools Formal engineering education
