The Role:
­ Assess Planning and Scheduling needs across the Project and balance those needs with adequate staff and contractor resources.
­ Evaluate performance of planning resources within contractor organisation.
­ Establish the schedule structure to be used for schedule control of the elements included in the Project.
­ Coordinate the Structure with cost estimator and cost controller.
­ Assign responsibility for the development and maintenance of the components that make up the overall project schedule.
­ Assess project deliverables against requirements and assign actions.
­ Coordinate schedule risk analysis.
­ Consolidate and monitor contractor schedules, analyze progress relative to schedule to detect deviations and alert Project management to issues and potential problem areas.
­ ­Ensure all system requirements are incorporated into Project contracts.
­ Prepare overall progress reports of all other development activities.
­ Develop and run assurance / audit system to validate Contractor progress.
­ Prepare contingency plans and associated schedules as necessary.
­ Monitor, assess and report impact of Operations.
­

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate technical engineering discipline
- Good general working knowledge of SAP
- Track record of continuous professional development

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
­ Project Planning background (10-15 years) with a proven management and control track record in major upstream oil and gas projects, preferably with Brownfield content
­ Comprehensive knowledge and experience of project planning system applications
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-developed analytical skills with ability to asses project plans and identify gaps and risks
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Structured and disciplined
- Proficient in managing data, interpreting and analysing trends
- Ability to network internally and externally
- Strong communication, networking, collaboration and well developed team-working skills
- Management of change
- Highly developed influencing and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic with a questioning and challenging attitude
- Ability to work with and for multiple customers and make rational decisions when under pressure
