The Role:
Reporting directly to the Manager, Projects – Topsides & Subsea, the Project Infrastructure Project Engineer – Piping is responsible for the overall co-ordination of the construction, installation and mechanical completion phases of the project. Ensure a team of discipline engineers achieve full mechanical completion in line with the project specifications and procedures and will control day to day activities with regard to safety, budget, manpower and schedule. Ability to work with minimal supervision, on a number of projects covering both Topsides and Subsea workscopes.

The Project Infrastructure Project Engineer – Piping is responsible for the continual review of customer and company requirements ensuring project team performance against internal company performance standards and be responsible for all project deliverables including technical, schedule, commercial and HSE aspects of the project.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Maintain the 'stage gate' processes through all phases of the project delivery system
To work in accordance with the company’s project department management system.
Provide technical assistance the development of the company’s project department management system.
Remain abreast of legislative requirements.
Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation.
Develop and enhance processes and systems for wider use in the discipline.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans.
Ensure delivery of all aspects of discipline design, specification and procurement of the project to cost, schedule and quality criteria.
Ensure technical integrity of all discipline deliverables on the project.
Plan and maintain the discipline progress of the project.
Report periodically progress status to the line and function reporting lines.
Ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered.
Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineering technology & Codes and Standards.
Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel and contractors.
Develop the Project Execution Plan in order to meet the Project objectives within the agreed timescale and budget.
Manage the Project activities to cope with the above Project Execution Plan, the Approved
Controlled Budget and the Approved baseline Schedule.
Liaise with Company and Partners in the management of and adequate reporting of Project activities.
Develop and manages the Project Management Team to meet the Project objectives.
Chair weekly project meetings ensuring all key deliverables are being met in accordance with project plan.
Deliver project within schedule and AFE budget – maintaining a focus on health and safety.
Keep the overall project plan update and ensure all key deliverables are being met.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role and has demonstrated success at this level

Ability to work with minimal supervision
