The Role:
Supported by the Business Acquisition Technical Manager, ensures that proposal activities relating to O&M are consistent with the strategic plan and business goals for business acquisition in the relevant world region. Responsible for supporting all phases of the pursuit from participating in a review of the client tender documentation to compiling the answers to tender questions in relation to their areas of expertise.

Provides support to the Regional Business Acquisition Managers in the technical areas of competency and within other business areas of experience.

Participates in the development of a technical library of bid answers and has direct responsibility for those in relation to their area of competency with support from the O&M function. The Technical Lead will be responsible for ensuring agreement with their functional department on the final content of the answers and keep in regular contact with the function, as required during their development.

◦In conjunction with the Regional Business Acquisition Manager and operations support the development of appropriate win strategies, in a timely fashion, and in accordance with schedule priorities as indicated within the MIDAS database. Provide technical answers as required to assist in the compilation of winning proposals to all global regions.
◦In conjunction with the Regional Business Acquisition Manager ensure support and determine relevant pursuit information is available e.g. subcontractor requirements, required organisational structure, etc.
◦Support Acquisition Technical Manager to ensure the validity of pursuit schedules

◦Support Regional Business Acquisition Manager in meetings with the potential client and ask pertinent technical clarification questions.
◦Support Regional Business Acquisition Manager in answering questions (using the compiled technical library and enhancing as necessary to align with any regional variation / client specific requirements)
◦Liaise with Regional Business Acquisition Manager / proposals co-ordinators to ensure that the technical aspects of the proposal are identified and aligned with pursuit schedule.
◦Liaise with relevant function to ensure any support is requested in a timely manner to meet pursuit schedules.
◦Responsible for all technical tender activities to ensure that all deliverables are to the highest quality to demonstrate org ability.
◦Participate in mid-point reviews to ensure that the draft submission is compliant with customers demand and ensure the question ‘Why the org?' is adequately answered to address specific customer objectives and key business drivers, by highlighting key differentiators.
◦Attend and support commercial operations and cost reviews, as necessary, to ensure alignment with technical and strategic aspects, and to ensure understanding of related commercial risks and mitigations.

◦Support Regional Business Acquisition Manager / sales lead in any post tender clarifications as required.
◦Ensure that any new material created in responding to tender is added to the proposals library.
◦Support the Preparation of customer presentations and/or proposal pitch to ensure the appropriate focus is maintained on succinctly demonstrating key customer focussed aspects of the organisations tender and the benefits we will bring.
◦Participate in any relevant lessons learned session to identify and capture any opportunities for improvement.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
◦Relevant Degree preferred
◦Proficient in compliance with company and proposals policy, procedures and processes and their area of expertise.
◦Understand financial requirements and manage associated risks by engaging with the Commercial Manager and associated functions as required. Be capable of allocating costs and manning requirements to estimates for work scopes in relation to their engineering discipline.
◦A proven track record of working in senior positions within the Oil and Gas industry and indication of successful career development are essential for the role.
