The Company:
Our major oil and gas client is seeking a Business Analyst IV for a one year opportunity in Houston, Texas.

The Role:

Provides superior-quality business / supply chain analytics support as well as communication and coordination of supply chain activities. Routinely demonstrates proactive leadership in coordinating activities and outcomes.

This includes driving internal communication, reporting requirements, management of priorities and communication consistent with team agenda and EA style support of Team Manager.

The successful candidate will be able to understand the team’s vision and objectives and prioritize engagement activities accordingly. Candidate will be able to identify high criticality stakeholder engagement opportunities and ensure appropriate team member participation.

This individual will control and facilitate the weekly team meeting agenda, including publishing of minutes and communication / tracking of follow up activities.

This individual will design and manage the team SharePoint site, including access rights, content, organization and continuous improvement.

Analytical duties include spend analytics, stakeholder feedback, and supplier performance analysis.

Individual will produce professional MS Office documents to support team, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint documents to facilitate communication by team(s).

Directly supports the business analysis of supplier and market data as well as preparations for supplier sourcing and engagement activities and reporting of benefits delivered
Enhancement of current reporting abilities and Management of all existing reporting requirements:-
- Spend Analysis Reports;
- KPI Analysis Reports;
- SPM Analysis Reports;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Strong commercial acumen
- Minimum of a University degree (Bachelor’s of Science or Business Administration or related
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience (Oil and gas industry experience in Exploration and Production preferred but not necessary)
- The ability to influence various team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Outstanding communication skills
- Exceptional organization skills for self and to improve organization level of Manager
- Proactive self-starter able to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Basic knowledge and understanding of PSCM processes and principles
- Strong track record of delivery
- Flexibility and adaptability - comfortable with entrepreneurial and large business work scope and management of changing business priorities

Technical Skills
• Business acumen
• High level skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
• Strong skills and experience with SAP, Oyster and other data base app
