The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The main responisbilities for this role is as follows:

Business Analyst to deliver Financial Management for IS Projects initiative The Financial Management for IS Projects initiative is a key piece of work, led by the IS Planning and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO), that will impact all central IS projects within the Client Australia Business Unit.

This initiative will strengthen organizational capacity to operate Major Capital Projects (MCPs) by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes. The initiative will focus on delivering fit-for-purpose integrated Financial Management processes and associated tools & techniques for IS projects ranging in cost from $100,000 to in excess of $5million, the scope of which includes Estimating, Funding, Financial Tracking and Accounting for Expenditure, Management of Change (Budget) and Financial Reporting. Processes will be aligned with Client global and Australasia Business Unit local requirements. This is expected to be a six month initiative, producing (but not limited to) the following deliverables:

1. Estimating – process, tools including a reference metrics tool, techniques
• Funding – process for the funding lifecycle including roles & responsibilities, tools & forms
2. Financial Tracking and Accounting for Expenditure – process including compliance with existing standards & policies, metrics/performance management, cost allocation against asset, exchange rate impacts and tools
3. Management of Change (Budget) – integrated process throughout project lifecycle, roles & responsibilities, tools & forms
4. Financial Reporting – process and tools for reporting at project and portfolio level The opportunity requires a senior Business Analyst to both deliver the initiative and ensure that a framework and deliverables are handed over to enable the PPMO to maintain and support the new capabilities going forwards.

The successful candidate will be familiar with the project lifecycle and project financials. Change management experience across people, process and tools/technology and a proven record of delivering change in a complex environment will be required. The successful candidate will be adept at working within a large global organization, have strong interpersonal skills and ideally will have delivered an initiative of this type for a similar size and complexity of IS project portfolio previously.

Education: Degree level
Experience:
• The opportunity requires a senior Business Analyst.
• The successful candidate will be familiar with the project lifecycle, project financials and financial performance reporting across complex portfolios of work.
• Change management experience across people at mid to senior level, process and tools/technology and a proven record of delivering change in a complex environment will be required.
• Accounting background expertise will be highly valued

The successful candidate will be adept at working within a large global organization, have strong interpersonal skills and ideally will have delivered an initiative of this type for a similar size and complexity of portfolio previously. Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills will be essential as well as the ability to accurately document and present
