The Company:
Our client is a world-wide manufacturing organisation, employing thousands of people in a variety of disciplines. Operating from 6 manufacturing sites in Europe and a host of sites globally their product is found in some form or other in every home.

The Role:
Principal Accountabilities

1. Act as the technical and process expert for the Sales & Distribution Module within the client's SAP R3 business application and carry out problem / fault diagnosis and resolution as required to ensure the agreed availability and efficient operation of the system. In addition gain knowledge of the other SAP modules utilised within the client as required.
2. Manage the resolution of issues which cannot be solved within the client's Business Application Group with the agreed external support provider to ensure timely completion.
3. Proactively liaise with other members of the Business Application Group to ensure that the impact of changes to the application and related processes implemented by the jobholder is considered and managed across all other modules / business processes
4. Operate within the BAG Project and Change management processes and procedures.
5. Identify areas within the SAP R3 application and related processes where improvements can be made to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the European Business operation.
6. Lead the cost benefit analysis process for potential improvements and support the presentation and gaining of sanction from the business steering team.
7. Lead the implementation of such improvements to ensure that the work is effectively resourced and delivered.
8. Identify the need for and complete end-user training in SAP R/3 functionality and related processes to ensure the efficient and robust ongoing operation of the system and processes.
9. Lead or provide support for (as agreed) project activities in areas related to the development and extension of Business applications and associated processes in order to deliver the defined business benefits within the agreed project costs

Special Features

1. The job holder will need to develop in-depth knowledge of the operation of the client's Sales and Distribution processes operating within Businesses and how they link with other business processes.

2. The position requires a detailed expertise and knowledge of the SAP R3 SD module including configuration skills.

3. Whilst the position does not have direct management of any personnel it will require a high degree of influencing at all levels up to Business Director combined with tenacity to ensure agreed ways of working and standards are adhered to and suggested improvements are delivered. In addition the job holder will need to deal with both internal and external personnel on a daily basis.

4. The job holder must be willing to be mobile and work at each of the Business locations across Europe as required although the preferred home site can be either North East or North West

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 Years’ Experience in Business with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in SAP Business Analysis and Project Management roles.

The job holder needs to be able to analyse business requirements and apply their SAP configuration knowledge to meet these needs along with potentially coordinating internal and external resources to deliver the resulting work.

The job requires the management of a programme of multiple activities and small projects, often with conflicting priorities. The jobholder requires project and time management skills to balance these priorities and ensure completion of all activities and projects.

The job holder should have good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.

Experience within an international manufacturing or supply chain environment would be preferred.
