The Role:
The role's primary purpose is to support the Business Development team in ensuring the continued growth and success of the group. Focus areas for this role will include market analysis, the identification and research of new growth opportunities and the development of professional bids and proposals for potential clients.
In addition the role will involve supporting the groups marketing activities and developing the companies profile within existing and new markets.

Undertake analysis of new and existing markets in order to identify potential growth areas and specific targets. Present findings and make appropriate and well considered recommendations.
Work with the Business Development Manager to develop and execute a strategy for reaching out to potential targets.
Gain a detailed understanding of individual client requirements and translate this into a commercially viable service offering.
Take responsibility for the preparation of prequalification documents, bids and proposals ensuring meticulous attention to detail. This will include the co-ordination of internal resource from across the business to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Support the Business Development Manager with contract drafting and negotiations in conjunction with internal and external legal resource.
Work with the Business Development Support Assistant to support the teams marketing efforts.
To work effectively and positively with all employees, customers, contractors and visitors to promote a positive safety culture, ensuring that all are aware of their personal SHE responsibilities to themselves, their colleagues and the business.

To gain an appreciation and understanding of the Business Development department while continually updating knowledge and understanding of the wider business in order to be able to offer clients the best solutions.
Provision of excellent customer service and positive promotion of internal and external customers and colleagues, in line with changing business needs, strategies and requirements.
Provide general administration duties and support to the Business Development department.
Lead individual business related projects as allocated by the Business Development Manager from time to time.
