The Role:
A permanent vacancy has arisen for the position of Business Development Engineer based at Aberdeen reporting to the Midstream Engineering Manager. the role:
The job holder will be expected to proactively work with the asset owners, share professional and technical experience with the site and home office teams and other contacts as appropriate. The job holder will be expected to work on their own initiative using innovative approaches to issues adding value through their own ideas.
This could involve spending time at the facilities and understanding site problems, and in turn suggesting possible solutions.
duties:
The role will be a mainly Aberdeen based role but will require travel and site presence for periods as necessary.
Working with the asset owners and the operations teams in identifying business development opportunities for the terminal and FUKA pipeline infrastructure, The facility and infrastructure, and progress as required to project sanction.
Appraise and prioritise development opportunities.
Carry out high level technical and commercial screening studies and preliminary assessments of projects which could provide value to the client and shippers.
Initiate technical studies and economic evaluations necessary on projects identified.
Gather relevant data and prepare study basis of design and scopes of work as required.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary studies.
Develop a project sanction gate process from project identification to client sanction.
Prepare sanction dossiers.
Prepare sanction projects Statement of Requirements for and client approval.
Initiate and supervise third party engineering studies as required.
Contribute towards the Asset long term plan.
Analyse potential and existing plant design in order to identify business opportunities.
Assist management in resourcing, budgeting, and problem solving activities associated with the development opportunities
minimum requirements:
Minimum of Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Effective communication and writing skills.
The job holder will have experience in E&P upstream or the mid-stream gas processing industry.
Excellent organisational skills.
To recognize opportunities and manage budgets effectively
