Based in Perth, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to manage the delivery of the sales budget through maintaining and maximizing terms and profit margins with the development of service opportunities for offshore and onshore work undertaken in Australia.

The primary objective of the Business Development Manager will be to manage, drive and deliver the sales and service growth for our Client in Australia.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Conduct business presentations to Senior Management with prospected Clients and existing Clients.
• Prepare and issue customer visit reports and use the company CRM system
• Solution sell on a consultative basis and help Clients solve problems by demonstrating the company services
• Liaise with internal sales support and operations staff on equipment requirements, quotations, orders, or follow up to insure customer's needs are met.
• Work closely with management to ensure company goals and objectives are being met within Australia
• Help maintain quality, safety and environmental standards. Participates in process improvement activities and uses appropriate tools – LEAD, kaizen events, value stream maps, 6S etc.


Essential requirements for this role:
• Must have the ability to probe, question and gather specific information about the customer’s needs and solution sell to Clients
• Must have a minimum of 3-5 years industrial sales experience in the industrial sales sector. (Ideally possessing experience gained within the shutdown and turnaround service / oil and gas sector.)
• Must hold a valid Australian driving license
• Must be an experienced, self-starter that understands product sales management, time management and has strong customer service skills as well as being self-motivated.
• Must be computer literate and have experience working with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and sales CRM/database programs.)
• Must be experienced in forecasting, budgeting and developing a sales territory with little supervision. Candidate will be accountable for the financial results of the assigned territory.
