The Role:

A. Purpose and Scope

To establish, promote and develop a profitable business range of products and services in North and South American and Canada and thereby contribute to the growth plans of group as a whole.

B. Responsibilities and Duties

• In conjunction with Group Sales and Marketing Director, develop and implement an ambitious business plan for achieving significant growth and meet and beat sales and profit targets.
• Raise awareness capabilities and resources within the identified geographical region to maintain a robust enquiry and order pipe line.
• Partner with commercial team to ensure competitive and profitable bid submission.
• Analyse market dynamics (opportunities and threats), competitive landscape, devise value chain proposition and optimum product offering for the regional markets to maximise sales across core product categories.
• Effectively manage, develop and nurture key customer relationships to ensure expansion of the business and continued growth.
• Define and evaluate regional demand and growth for Specialist Services products and services for (DTP, EPC, MB, Hire and SPSM business units) in the region. Market and take steps to meet and beat sales and profit targets.
• Ensure customer commitments are honoured and company’s image and reputation are upheld at all times in the assigned geography.
• Develop devise strategy to reach out and expand to unexplored market segments and customer groups in the assigned geography in the core product categories.
• Ensure prequalification for core product categories with End User and main contractors in region.
• Generate sales leads for core product categories of the company in the assigned geography.
• Liaison and development of local representation within the region to ensure smooth business operations.
• Recommend improvements to departmental policy and implement procedures and controls covering all areas of Sales and Marketing function, so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost effective service to customers.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls across Sales and Marketing function to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time

• Location: Houston
• Travel: Frequent throughout the region

E. Job Specifications

1. Qualification, Knowledge, Experience
a) Academic Qualification and Professional Qualification
• Educated to first degree level

b) Experience (minimum preferred)
• 8+ years experience of sales and marketing preferably in fabrication industry for Oil and Gas sector

2. Technical Requirements
• Proven management capabilities and leadership quality in developing, motivating and driving a team to achieve set goals
• Strong service-oriented business acumen, excellent business planning and direct Sales and marketing skills
• Computer literate

3. Key Competencies
• Self-starter that can be managed from a distance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player
• Able to work well under pressure and for long hours in demanding conditions
