The Role:
Job Responsibilities :
- The Valve, Actuation Sales Manager will work with our material sourcing group, sales and operations teams to review our product offering ensuring we are market competitive and can service the vast array of manual and actuated valves across our various market segments for the marketplace.
- Conduct market analysis to determine market size, target markets & growth potential along with strategic fit with our current product offerings. Provide Return on Investment (ROI) scenario & ensure that our resources are correctly allocated.
- Leverage the existing distribution sales network of local, regional, and global personnel to drive market share growth, margin improvement and account retention. Leverage regional valve & actuation sales specialists to build a cohesive group to grow market share. This position works across all market segments including drilling, exploration & production, midstream, downstream and industrial segments.
- Identify & assess competitors to determine their strengths & weaknesses. Evaluate their strategies relative to our own products & services.
- Establish working relationships with all global operating locations and replenishment inventory to evaluate adequate levels of inventory to support sales and marketing plans for growth.
- Creates and manages a marketing communication budget that includes promotional activities such as trade shows, advertising, and print collateral. Work with divisional marketing to execute on marketing communications plan.
- Clearly communicate all aspects of the product line, across our market segments and geographies. Communicate the advantages of our products and features to internal groups as well as our customers and preferred suppliers. Maintain focus on current and emerging competitor products and features.
- Deliver and exceed revenue and operating profit projections. Develop, grow and maximize financial results (i.e. revenue, margin and return on capital employed). Responsible for accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting of revenue and expenses.
- At least 7 years of experience including sales, marketing and/or operations experience.
- Experience with valve market and actuation suppliers required
- Knowledge in the following valve classes: API 6A gate, DBB Ball, Choke, Swing Check, API 6D Gate, API 6D Lubricating & Expanding Plug, Ball, API 600/603 Gate, Globe & Check, Cryogenic, Plug, API 602 Gate, Globe & Check, Pressure Seal, HF Acid, Resilient Seated, High Performance, and Triple offset Butterfly.
- Working knowledge of standards and manufactures of ERW, Seamless and SAW pipe.
- Corrosion control knowledge is a plus.
- Relevant business experience and product knowledge in the oil and gas industry
- Proven record of revenue growth and customer service
- Written and oral communication skills, both internal and external
- Fluent Korean & English
- Financial acumen, marketing and negotiating skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Goal-oriented with the ability to multi-task under pressure in fast-paced work environment
- Possess integrity and a dedication to results
- Willing and able to work hours necessary to meet deadlines and respond to emergency demands.
- Work within established company guidelines
