The Role:
My client is currently inviting applications for a Business Development Manager - Minerals & Metals position. This role is full time and will be Perth based.

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible to build sustainable and long-term business relationships that allow you to win and deliver work for the Minerals & Metals business within the Client's region. You will build and demonstrate an understanding of our Customer’s business and their strategy to ensure that you create unique and compelling value propositions for them.

You demonstrate a clear consultative vision and develop a strong understanding of the Client's capabilities. They recognise that winning work is a team effort so you will be a collaborative team player allowing you the potential to connect the appropriate colleague to the Customer where you identify an opportunity.

You will have strong market intelligence and be able to analyse and predict trends allowing you to identify future opportunities and growth development for the business unit. They look for opportunities that are commercially sustainable for the Minerals & Metals business unit, for our Shareholders and our Customers; you need to have a strong commercial acumen to develop cost effective and robust business cases for the pursuit of new business opportunities.

Through your early engagement in business pursuits, you will develop capture plans, lead pursuit teams taking responsibility for market positioning and strategy development and you will manage and coordinate proposal and contractual negotiations through to award. Enduring Customer relationships are built on successful delivery so you will also be responsible to ensure that successful transition and handover from pursuit to project is completed post award.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•More than 15 years’ work experience in Minerals & Metals industries in business development and/or senior management positions.
•Proven track record in :
o Preparation of professional business proposals and tender submissions.
o Winning small to large projects specific to the Minerals & Metals sectors.
•Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and manage conflicting priorities.
•Good project management skills highly desirable.
•Graduate and/or post-graduate degree(s) in engineering or related disciplines.
•You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration
