Our client is an international powerhouse. They work across the Power generation and Energy sector with a particular focus on the Middle East market.

The Role:
Business Development Manager

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Person: Saudi National Only.

Our client requires a Business Development Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Working under the direction of the Regional Director, Middle East, you will manage and champion cross-sector, customer facing business development activities within the Middle East region. You will be responsible for delivering inputs into the regional strategy and the content associated with the business plan deployment (BPD) process. You will implement the key strategic engagement activities defined in the regional strategy and identify business development opportunities and routes to market through engagement with external and internal stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:
 Manage the cross-sector customer base in region at VP equivalent and below levels with key stakeholders within both industry and government organisations including trade entities, business groups, embassies.
 Manage the input for the regional strategy and Business Plan Deployment processes for the Middle East
 Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer's view of our client and its competitors to effectively provide market intelligence to the business and proactively anticipate the needs of potential customers.
 Identify, design & manage Business Development programmes that deliver the Company's short, medium and long term commercial and strategic objectives.
 Responsible for ensuring that regional risk management and compliance standards are rigorously applied
 Develop with the Business Units and functions the required regional / localisation activities in line with business strategies and legislative requirements. Work with the supply chain and commodity leaders and develop a coherent and joined up industrial/supply chain plan for the Company
 Provide the required insight and understanding to the Company of the local regulatory framework and policies affecting our business in region
 Provide Business Development functional expertise and best practise to contribute to on-going process improvement.
 Support engagement with external bodies, as appropriate, to influence future policy and strategy



Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong business acumen and commercial understanding.
 Proven business development track record in an international corporate environment, with a significant understanding of sales, commercial and customer services.
 Proven ability to understand a large variety of complex issues and have strong communication skills to convey a corporate position. Be persuasive in discussion and debates and able to support position with hard data.
 Strong inter-personal/social skills to be able to identify, approach and develop contacts with all levels of decision makers.
 Analytical skills to anticipate, identify and help analyse the effects of policies and proposals.
 Proven track record of translating Business Development Strategy into tangible business actions & impact.
 Able to translate strategy & activities into business value add metrics
 Fluent Arabic speaker, with excellent communication skills. Good oral and written command of English.
