The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the pipeline of market opportunities for the T&D Infrastructure business for the allocated market sectors. The role will interact with Power Systems, Substations HBU UK & the local Front End Sales (FES) organisation & account/regional/sector managers in driving the strategy into the allocated key market sectors.

Other responsibilities will include:
• Developing and maintaining a network of appropriate client relationships for the allocated market sectors
• Interacting and managing key customers and their expectations of the business system solutions within the T&D Infrastructure business
• Taking ownership of sales targets that are in line with business
strategy to deliver profitable growth, developing relationships in appropriate depth and numbers
• Developing new and existing customer relationships and market sectors through market/competitor intelligence, market communications and local account management
• Provide customer feedback on bid/operational performance to feed this into order winning strategies
• Support the tendering teams with the preparation of bids and ensuring that the customers values are fully understood and articulated in the organisation's value proposition therein
• Participation in internal bid governance reviews as necessary
• Promoting the business portfolio and drive “up selling” of available offering
• Support & interact with the wider internal Power Systems sales and business development teams to drive business led collaboration and “champion” the T&D Infrastructure business

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Proven track record of developing and capturing T&D project opportunities
• Network of existing contacts within the (non-utility) power markets (desirable)
• Good networking and teamwork skills. Team-player essential
• Strong business acumen, results orientation, customer and market orientation and strategic orientation
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• An ability to work within an extended matrix organisation with multi-national and multi-cultural teams
• Flexible approach to travel
• Ability to be guided and take direction
• Participate in sales capture teams for major/strategic pursuits either as a leader or participant
• Self-motivated, ability to work on own with minimum of guidance & direction
• Adherence to company practices and procedures with respect to sales order forecasts, pipeline updating & reporting
• Adherence to company procedures for Code of Conduct & Business Ethics, Health & Safety

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience of consortium/partnerships and other forms of contract mechanisms
• Experience & exposure with differing business sectors
• Application knowledge at a technical level of power electronics and their deployment in power systems
